Ana Lucía Rincón (b 1998)

Spanish-Colombian artist based in Ghent, Belgium.

She explores the intersection where reality and fantasy are intertwined, creating new narratives that talk about the mechanisms of remembrance and reimagining. Rather than focusing on the past, she utilizes it as an instrument to see the present. Her work is characterized by a study of the material qualities of photography and its relation to memory, utilizing different techniques ranging from collage to manipulation of the chemical layer, as well as digital means.
